Our history

Originally established as David Mayo Heating & Air Conditioning in 1985, Dave opened for business with just $850 in the bank after graduating with an AS degree from Cypress College in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration.
As with many in the construction/service industry, Dave comes from humble beginnings. He started out as a tailgate jockey equipped with only his family, a truck, a home phone and an answering machine. He quickly outgrew the truck and worked out of his home garage, until that, too, was outgrown. In 1999 Dave got out of the house and leased a 2,000 square foot office in Laguna Canyon with the space he needed to design and build mechanical systems at even larger scale.
Next in 2006, Dave Mayo Heating & Air Conditioning became a California Corporation called Mayo Mechanical. New name, same family, committed to quality work and establishing strong customer relationships. These strong relationships make up much of our business – the majority of our clients come from referrals.

Our experience

The list of our innovative mechanical system installations and applications range from design and installation of conventionally ducted forced air heating/cooling systems, small duct/high velocity (SDHV) systems, hydronic and electric radiant heating with pool/ spa heating integration, radiant cooling, hydronic chiller systems, solar/thermal water heating, snow melt system adaptation for radiant exterior deck warming and combined systems controls through integration.
